Kashmiri shoes

Kashmiri Muslims used to wear the Pheran, a long free outfit hanging down underneath the knees, a white turban tied on a skull top, a tight shalwar and ribbon less shoes called gurgabi. A white bit of material is held tight their shoulders like a stole. Hindu men wear churidar pajama rather than shalwar along with kashmiri shoes. The less prosperous Muslims wear skull tops and kashmiri shoes, which looks adorable and does not convey any shawl.

Kashmiri ladies are among the most delightful in India. They have "an English blushed color of composition behind the Eastern tan". The shade of their hair ranges from brilliant red to brunette and that of eyes from green, blue, dark to dark. Other than being pontoons ladies and ranchers, the ladies of Kashmir help their men-people at shawl making, weaving, shoes making, and different painstaking work.

The ladies wear the Pheran, the voluminous Kashmiri outfit, stitched with an outskirt and hanging in unbalanced folds. Kashmiri shoes, and the long, free Pheran covers their body no uncertainty, yet does not limit their physical interest. Though a Muslim lady's Pheran is knee-length, free and weaved in front and on the edges, a Hindu lady's Pheran touches her feet. For keenness and simplicity it is tied at the midriff with collapsed material called lhungi.

The long free sleeves are elegantly beautified with brocade. With this kind of Hindu ensemble goes the hood called taranga, which is fixing to a hanging hood and decreases down to the foot sole areas from behind. The folds of the taranga are made of splendidly squeezed lines secured to a pointed red-shaded and brocaded skull top with a couple of gold pins along the edges. Over the head and ears are bits of muslin weaved in gold string . The more youthful Hindu ladies, however have taken to the sari, after the 'change development' of the thirties. And still, after all that, on the big day they need to wear the taranga ritualistically. It is secured with the palav of the lady of the hour's wedding sari. Taranga, subsequently remains as a component of the marriage trousseau.
